Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to bearlyinthemountains.com, a private booking site for The Falk Family's vacation home, Bearly in the Mountains. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

Accounts

  • You must be 18 or older to create an account.
  • Give accurate information and keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
  • The family may disable accounts that misuse the site.

Requesting a stay

  • Sending a request does not confirm a stay. A stay is confirmed only when the family approves it and you receive a confirmation.
  • The family may approve or decline any request at their discretion.
  • Requested dates are held while a request is waiting for a decision.
  • You can cancel an upcoming stay from your My Trips page. The family may also need to cancel a stay, and will let you know if that happens.

During your stay

  • Follow the house rules and the house manual provided before arrival.
  • Keep the house address, door code, and wifi details private.
  • Guests are responsible for any damage caused during their stay.

Reviews

Reviews you submit may be published on the site with your first name and last initial. The family decides which reviews appear and may reply publicly.

Text message (SMS) terms

  • Program: Bearly in the Mountains booking updates.
  • What you'll receive: texts about your stays only, such as request received, approved or declined, cancellations, and arrival reminders. No marketing.
  • How to opt in: check the optional text message box when you create your account or on your Profile page. Texts are not required to use the site.
  • Frequency: message frequency varies, usually a few texts per stay.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply.
  • Opt out: reply STOP to any text, or turn texts off in your profile. You'll receive one confirmation and no further texts.
  • Help: reply HELP, or email stay@bearlyinthemountains.com.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your phone number. Mobile information is never shared with third parties for marketing.

The site

We work to keep the site available and accurate, but it is provided as is, and we can't promise it will always be available or error free. To the extent the law allows, the site operator is not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the site.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed.
